How vendors are selected
We aim to list every visitor management system we can identify that is commercially available in English-speaking markets, plus significant regional products. Inclusion is not requested, purchased or negotiated. Vendors cannot pay to be listed, and cannot pay to be removed.
Our directory separates four kinds of product, because comparing them as peers would mislead readers:
- Dedicated VMS — products whose primary purpose is visitor management.
- Access control with visitor management — physical security platforms that include a visitor module.
- Workplace platform with visitor management — desk, room and workplace suites where visitors are one feature among many.
- Vertical-market VMS — products built for one sector, such as schools, residential buildings or contractor-heavy industrial sites.
How profiles are compiled
Profiles are written from public sources: vendor documentation, pricing pages, security and compliance pages, filings, and press coverage. Every profile lists the sources used and the date it was last reviewed.
Where a fact is not publicly available, we say so rather than estimating. We do not publish pricing we cannot verify from a public source.
No scores
We do not give products a numeric rating. A score without a published, applied methodology is a decoration, and it invites readers to substitute our judgement for their own requirements. Our assessments are written in prose, with the reasoning visible.
Sponsorship and advertising
Advertising and sponsored content fund this publication. Where content is paid for, it carries a “Sponsored” label on the page itself. Sponsored content is excluded from directory ordering, comparisons and roundups. Advertisers get no advance sight of editorial coverage and no influence over it.

We correct mistakes in public and date the correction. See corrections.
